-
- As I repeatedly stated, I am no expert. I am simply going by what i read in
- magazines, and the newsgroups... Also, I find it hard to belive that UNIX,
- being 30 odd years old, is able to encompass all the new developments in
- computer science in the best manner possible.

-
- But i am right about other unix'es ? Generally ? Or does everybody use QNX
- now ?
-

-
- Pretty good. But what sort of functionality are you left with ? I'm told
- windoze runs in 4 megs ram....

-
- I like damn fast and efficient :-)
-

-
- Sounds good. Is it parallel processing, or something ? Do you gain speed by
- adding more machines ?
-

- Sounding better all the time...
-

- Bloody commodore...
-
- >I never likes MSDOS and had a natural PC hate.
-
- Same here.
-
- >QNX changed that very quickly...
-
- Umm.
-

-
- But what are the disadvanatges ?
-
- >So dont be too quick to condem unix. Some flavours still have

-
- Well... I don't know. You've definity peaked my interest in QNX - I'll have
- to keep an eye open. But i am sure that you will admit that many UNIX'es
- are, how can I put this ? "getting Old" ?
-
- Yeah. I like the amiga, and more so it's OS, and the people involved. With
- a large dollop of luck, perhaps amigados will be made hardware independant
- (perhaps like windows NT), and extened, improoved. Perhaps AT will garner
- support for it, and basically, run the whole situation like it should have
- been from the start.
-
- I would not like to belive there is no room for a new, innovative OS in the
- computer world. I would like to think that we are not shackled to msdos,
- windoze, unix, or any other OS.. But, I am past (I hope :-) ) playing silly
- 'mines bigger than yours' games. I would simply like the best solution. If
- AT cannot/will not supply what i consider the best, i will simply go
- elsewhere. And that could be a PC, running QNX, os/2, or some such. I don't
- know.
-
-
- So - can you give me any other nice features of QNX ? What parts of it
- would you like improoved ? Whats it cost ? Will it run all unix code ?
